Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Meatballs

Did you make my air fryer keto meatball recipe or Baked Keto Meatballs Recipe?

If so, you probably have leftovers because it made 45 meatballs! I ended up wrapping some meatballs with bacon and throwing them into the air fryer.

The finished product were incredibly juicy meatballs with crispy bacon on the outside. They make for a great keto appetizer!

These bacon wrapped meatballs are perfect for a keto diet! They are high in fat and low in carbs!

  • 5 keto meatballs
  • bacon (thin not the thick type)

Tips & Tricks

To help the bacon stay on the meatballs you can use a toothpick to secure the bacon into place

While mixing the meatballs, make sure you do not over mix the mixture as it will become firmer while cooking.

How to make Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Meatballs

  1. Follow the instructions from the keto meatball recipe to make meatballs. You can reduce the amount it makes, cook or freeze the rest.
  2. Wrap each meatball in a slice of bacon, tucking the ends into the bacon to secure it in place. Transfer the bacon into the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook the meatballs in the air fryer for 12 minutes at 400F. 
  4. Flip the meatballs over and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160F.

Add in almond flour and heavy cream

Roll into balls and wrap with thin bacon

Place in air fryer

Cook for 12 minutes at 400F.

Oven Directions

If you do not have an air fryer you can always place these in the oven.

  1. Preheat oven to 425F
  2. Bake for 15 minutes
  3. Remove meatballs and let meatballs cool slightly

Substitutions

If you do not have ground beef, a great substitution is to use ground turkey. It contains less saturated fats, but still keeping the same consistency and texture.

What to serve with Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Meatballs

Serve this individually as an Appetizer or make keto spaghetti and meatballs and use my spaghetti squash recipe or zoodles and my keto spaghetti sauce.

Try these with some Air Fryer brussel sprouts or Air Fryer Parmesan Asparagus.

How to store

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Reheat meatballs in the air fryer at 390 for 2-3 minutes.

Heating up leftover meatballs is simple. Just takes 2-3 minutes at 390F
