Make juicy turkey breast in your air fryer in less than 50 minutes! This boneless turkey breast is perfect for hosting smaller Thanksgiving gatherings. It’s super easy to make even if you’re a beginner in the kitchen.
I made this air fryer turkey breast recipe before Thanksgiving, because I wanted to see if it would be a viable option for having Thanksgiving at a campground. My family will be spending turkey day with me in my Cedar Creek fifth wheel along the St Johns River. None of us really wanted to cook a whole turkey.
So this will be a first! I’ve already been testing even more air fryer recipes because it’s so portable and makes cooking a breeze. Literally you’re making juicy turkey breast in a fraction of the time!
Honestly I bet you could make an entire Thanksgiving dinner with your air fryer!
Ingredients
- boneless turkey breast (thawed) – I got a 3 pound frozen turkey breast from Aldis
- avocado oil or olive oil
- fresh sage
- fresh rosemary
- fresh thyme
- kosher salt
- black pepper
How to make a turkey breast in an air fryer
If you love crispy skin and juicy meat, then you’re gonna love this easy air fryer turkey breast recipe. Made with simple ingredients that you can find at your local grocery store.
- First, rub turkey breast with the avocado oil. Then sprinkle the turkey breast with spices and fresh herbs.
- Next, place the turkey breast in the air fryer basket skin side up. Cook at 370F for 20 minutes. Then flip the turkey breast and cook for an additional 20 minutes. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Mine was at 140F so I flipped it again and cooked for an additional 5 minutes until it reached 165F.
- Transfer the turkey breast to a cutting board. Let the turkey rest for 5-10 minutes before carving.
Recipe notes and substitutions
- If you don’t have fresh herbs on hand you can replace them with dry seasonings but half of the amount. Example, instead of 1 tsp fresh thyme use 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- Don’t skip on the resting time, if you carve the turkey breast without waiting it can become dry.
- Optional, you can blot the boneless breast with paper towels to make the oil and herbs stick better
- If you want to make this recipe even easier, try seasoning the turkey breast with poultry seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Store leftover turkey breast in an airtight container, they’re perfect for an easy weeknight meal.
