Making these Bacon Wrapped Chuck Tender Filets in the Air Fryer is super easy! And no, we're not cooking filet mignon in the air fryer. These chuck tender filets are completely different! And MUCH cheaper.
They're not as tender as filet mignon, but if you cook them right they're super tasty and tender! Trust me, I was completely skeptical at first. 2 of these steaks were under $8 so it was worth a try!
I was not disappointed! If you follow my directions you'll have juicy bacon wrapped steak for dinner on a budget. And they're perfectly portioned at 5oz each!

- Preheat the air fryer to 390F for 5 minutes. Salt and pepper the bacon wrapped chuck tender filets.
- Place the steak in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes, flip the steak over and cook for an additional 6 minutes. This will result in a medium rare steak between 130-133F.
- Open the air fryer basket and transfer your steak to a plate. Let sit for 5 minutes before eating. Top with butter or desired toppings.
Oven Directions
- If you do not have an air fryer, don't worry! You can always make these steaks in the oven. First, preheat the oven to 450F.
- Salt and pepper the filets.
- Place the Bacon Wrapped Chuck Tender Filets on a lined baking dish or on a sheet pan.
- Cook until desired doneness or 5-6 minutes per side. Set aside to rest for 5 minutes.
Substitutions
If you don't have Bacon Wrapped Chuck Tender Filets then you can always substitute it with a Ribeye Steak or a T-bone steak. Or if you want a pricer option, you can use filet mignon.
