We bought an RV! Many of you probably found out via Facebook and we promised you an RV tour of our Forest River Cedar Creek 38RTH and now we’re delivering!
Why did I get an RV?
I had so many great adventures in my converted Sprinter Van with Stella all over the country, but we kind of out grew it. Check out my van tour video so you can see how small it was and how it’s not that ideal for 2 people and 2 dogs.
Now that it’s no longer just her and I, hello Loki and Colby – we needed something a little bit bigger! Plus once our lease is up in Harbour Island we plan to travel the entire US! First up is either Alaska or Maine.
Since we’ll be working on the road we didn’t wanna be in each others space we opted for a fifth wheel that has a separate living area, kitchen and bedroom. At first we really thought we wanted a toy hauler because of that separate space, additional bedroom and bathroom, but we realized we wouldn’t be utilizing that space as frequently.
We’d rather have a layout like ours that has a garage area under the bed. So much more functional! Check out this post if you want to know the different RV types out there 🙂
This RV is perfect for a full-timer or a family that wants to do long trips. It has the convenience of home, but on wheels. It even has a garage that can fit a golf cart, or electric bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, or a ton of bowling balls and pro shop on wheel haha.

Watch the video below on our Youtube channel 🙂 and we’d love it if you could like, comment and/or subscribe to help us grow our channel.
We named our YouTube channel “On a Permanent Vacation” because if you love what you’re doing, it really isn’t work. We plan to explore the US while working from different cities. One of my goals is to visit all of the National Parks! We’ll be documenting how to work on the road, work/explore life balance, struggles we’ve come across, plus tons of bowling tournaments!
We’re going to be documenting our trip back to Florida, as I’m writing this we’re making our way from Guist Creek Marina and Campground in Shelbyville, Kentucky to Anchor Down RV Resort in Dandridge, Tennessee. We spent 3 days in Kentucky smack dab in the middle of the bourbon district. Bulleit Distillery was right across the street from our RV park which was on a gorgeous lake!
We’re going to be doing a full review of the campground in a followup post. So if you want a gorgeous, budget friendly campground with plenty of pull through spots that’s close to Louisville and all the Distilleries and lots of wineries then this campground is for you!
Thank you for your support!
