Blackstone Burgers are so easy to make and they come out super juicy too! But there's a trick to using frozen burgers on the griddle! And don't get these Blackstone Burgers confused with Smash Burgers, they aren't the same!

Blackstone Burgers

Cooking frozen burgers on the Blackstone Griddle couldn't be easier! You don't even need to thaw the burgers first either!

BUT...

There is a trick to making sure the burgers are JUICY and not dried out...and that's a DOME for the Blackstone. Basically, the dome allows you to steam the frozen burgers, which speeds up the thawing process.

You can cook frozen burgers on a grill or griddle without one, but you might not guarantee that they will come out juicy. You may overcook them while trying to get them up to temperature.

Why You'll Love This Blackstone Burger Recipe

  • Budget Friendly - by using frozen burgers over fresh burgers you will save money! When you get the pre-made raw hamburger patties in the meat department, you are paying for the employee's labor time as well.
  • Healthy - You don't have to skimp on quality either when you buy frozen burgers! Many brands now offer frozen grass-fed burgers. You can also skip the bun and wrap your burger in lettuce to make it a keto lettuce-wrapped burger!
  • Quick Dinner Idea - with not having to make your own hamburger patties or having to thaw your burgers before throwing them on the Blackstone, you'll save a lot of time! You can even cook bacon or onions on the grill while the burgers cook too!

Tips & Tricks

Don't forget to use a DOME to cook frozen burgers on the Blackstone. The dome allows you to steam the frozen burgers, which speeds up the thawing process.

Also, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the burgers. This ensures you don't overcook or undercook your Blackstone Burgers!

I made Bacon on the Blackstone also, because who doesn't love bacon on their burgers?! I did run out of cheese so I only had 3 bacon cheeseburgers LOL. I did 3 with buns, and then mine was lettuce-wrapped.

What temperature do you cook burgers on a Blackstone griddle?

I cook frozen burgers on The Blackstone over medium heat

Do you need oil to cook burgers on Blackstone?

Typically I will use a little oil or bacon grease to cook my burgers in just so they don't get stuck to the surface of the Blackstone.

Can you Cook Frozen Burgers on a Blackstone?

Yes! That is my preferred way to cook burgers. It saves time and money, unless I'm making smash burgers. For those I use fresh hamburger meat.

How Long Do You Cook Burgers on a Blackstone Griddle?

I cook burgers from frozen on the griddle for 15-16 minutes.

How is a Smash Burger different from a Regular Burger?

A smash burger is when you use fresh ground beef, roll it into a ball and then flatten it on a hot griddle making sure it's super thin. Think Steak and Shake burger. Versus a typically burger there is no griddle press to smush it down, we want to keep all of the juices inside our burgers.
