Ninja Creami Cherry Ice Cream

With its creamy texture and rich cherry flavor, this homemade cherry ice cream is the perfect treat to satisfy your sweet tooth.

This recipe is from my Healthy Ice Cream Recipes Ebook. You'll find this recipe and 25 other recipes, including protein ice cream recipes, dairy-free recipes, and recipes without gums and pudding mixes.

The Ninja CREAMi is currently my favorite small kitchen appliance if you haven't been able to tell with the plethora of Ninja CREAMi recipes that I've been making.

When I visited the Traverse City area I stocked up on fresh cherries, and even fresh pitted cherries that had been frozen (such a game changer!). I used some to make this Cherry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and this chocolate cherry protein ice cream.

Whether you're enjoying it on a hot summer day or as a dessert after dinner, this Ninja Creami Cherry Ice Cream is sure to leave you feeling satisfied. Be sure to make 2 batches, because this ice cream will be gone soon!

Why you'll love this Ninja Creami Cherry Ice Cream

  • Simple Ingredients - this cherry ice cream has just 3 ingredients, all of which you can find at your local grocery store.
  • Super Creamy - this homemade cherry ice cream has an incredibly creamy texture, better than store-bought versions!
  • Easy Recipe - this ice cream recipe couldn't be easier to make! You just blend up the cherries with the milk and maple syrup, freeze in the pint container, and process in the Ninja CREAMi after 24 hours.

Ingredients

  • Milk (goat milk or milk of choice)
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh cherries pitted

Tips & Tricks

Be sure to prepare in advance. This recipe takes 18-24 hours to freeze. I like to plan ahead and make it at least a few days before I want to eat it.

Tools to make this easy recipe

  • Ninja Blender – I love my ninja blender. Not only can you use it for the obvious, like smoothies and shakes, but it also works perfectly for making the ice cream base!
  • Ninja Creami ice cream maker – I am in love with this Ninja Creami.
  • Ninja Creami Pints - I opted for these pints because they were about half the price, but be weary if you need them quickly; it took about three weeks to get here. They did have some prime options for other pint containers, but I was being thrifty.

How to make Ninja Creami Cherry Ice Cream

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Next, transfer the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint and place the lid on.
  3. Transfer the pint to the freezer and freeze for at least 24 hours.
  4. After 24 hours, remove the lid and place the pint into the pint holder. Place the lid with the blade on top and lock into place.
  5. Run the Ninja Creami on the ice cream function. You will need to respin twice for the best texture.
  6. Enjoy!

Substitutions

For this cherry ice cream recipe, I used raw goat milk from my heard share, but you can use your favorite type of milk or milk alternative.

How to store

Store the cherry ice cream in the freezer with the lid on tight. Mine never lasts longer than a few days because it's so delicious. It should last 3 to 6 months in the freezer.

If you do have any leftover ice cream, make sure to smooth it out to level and store in the freezer with the lid on. When you're ready to eat it again, you'll need to process it in the Ninja CREAMi again, typically 3 spins total for the best texture.

Did not have a good flavor, didn’t come out creamy and it tasted too much like maple syrup.

Not good. Tasted more like maple syrup than cherry.
