Blueberry Ice Cream
Hear me out.
I have a heard share of goat milk from the farm down the road from me and I was just drinking the raw goat's milk as is. Then I had the thought, maybe I should make ice cream with it.
I loved this Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Recipe so much, I decided to make a homemade blueberry ice cream version instead with my Ninja CREAMi.
This recipe is from my Healthy Ice Cream Recipes Ebook. You'll find this recipe and 25 other recipes, including protein ice cream recipes, dairy-free recipes, and recipes without gums and pudding mixes.
I was shocked! The goat's milk blueberry ice cream came out so creamy! The texture was incredible, I couldn't believe it!
This blueberry ice cream is naturally sweetened with fresh blueberries that I picked myself at a U-pick farm in Holland, MI, and local Michigan maple syrup.

What does goat milk taste like?
I wish raw goat's milk were available everywhere. And before you start saying ewww, goat's milk you have to try it for yourself before you write it off.
I personally think that goat milk has less flavor than cow's milk. My goat milk was raw, and it has the cream in it still, so it made the texture incredible. And for reference, it tastes nothing like goat cheese if you're afraid of that.
The ice cream is slightly tangy from the fresh blueberries which transforms an ordinary scoop of ice cream into a gourmet-style treat. This recipe has no churning involved, which makes it richer and creamier than traditional churned ice cream.

Tips & Tricks
Be sure to prepare in advance. This recipe takes 18-24 hours to freeze.
I got my blueberries at a U-pick farm so they were extra fresh, which made the ice cream have a delicious flavor.
Don't worry if the ice cream has a hump or a bump. It will not affect the ice cream's texture. I do not let my ice cream thaw before spinning either.
Tools to make this easy recipe
- Ninja Blender – I love my ninja blender. Not only can you use it for the obvious, like smoothies and shakes, but it also works perfectly for making the ice cream base!
- Ninja Creami ice cream maker – I am in love with this Ninja Creami.
- Ninja Creami Pints - I opted for these pints because they were about half the price, but be weary if you need them quickly; it took about three weeks to get here. They did have some prime options for other pint containers, but I was being thrifty.
How to make Blueberry Ice Cream
- Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Next, transfer the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint and place the lid on.
- Transfer the pint to the freezer and freeze for at least 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, remove the lid and place the pint into the pint holder. Place the lid with the blade on top and lock into place.
- Run the Ninja Creami on the ice cream function. You will need to respin twice for the best texture. (So a total of 3 spins)
- Optional top with additional fresh blueberries. Enjoy!
Substitutions
If you don't have goat's milk, you can always use regular cow's milk or Fairlife if you want fewer carbs and higher protein. If you want to make it a protein ice cream, you can either add protein powder or you can use a vanilla protein shake instead of milk.
How to store
Store your Blueberry Ice Cream in the freezer with the lid on. Mine never lasts longer than a few days because I eat it all, but it should last 3 to 6 months in the freezer.
When you’re ready to eat your ice cream, you’ll need to select the lite ice cream function again to make it nice and creamy, and ready to eat. You may need to re-spin it a few times to get the perfect texture.

I realize it is supposed to be healthy, but 1 tablespoon of maple syrup does not make it taste anything like ice cream. We added more and it improved. With more sweetener it was good, though!
