What is Oat Milk?
Oat milk is a creamy, plant-based milk alternative made from whole oats and water. It has gained immense popularity in recent years as a dairy-free, nut-free, and vegan-friendly option that’s both nutritious and environmentally sustainable.
Unlike dairy milk, oat milk contains no lactose, cholesterol, or animal products, making it a great choice for those with dietary restrictions or ethical preferences. It’s naturally rich in fiber, particularly beta-glucans, which are known to support heart health and digestion. While store-bought versions often include added vitamins, minerals, and stabilizers, homemade oat milk is simple, pure, and customizable to your taste.

- Use cold water, warm or room-temperature water can make the oats gummy.
- Choose the right oats, old-fashioned rolled oats work best. Avoid steel-cut or instant oats.
- Strain thoroughly, the machine comes with a strainer, but you can also use a nut milk bag or fine cheesecloth to ensure a smooth texture.
- Add flavor, experiment with cocoa powder, cinnamon, maple syrup, or vanilla extract for variety.
