Pineapple Protein Ice Cream

If you’re craving something tropical, tangy, and protein-packed, this Pineapple Protein Ice Cream is the perfect way to cool down and stay on track with your goals. Made with creamy coconut milk, sweet pineapple tidbits, and vanilla protein powder, it’s a refreshing, high-protein treat that feels like a beach vacation in every bite. Best of all, the Ninja Creami makes it incredibly easy to create this smooth and satisfying dessert right at home!

If you're looking for more recipes using protein powder, I've made the following using the flavored Clean Simple Eats protein powder packets.

I've made this vanilla protein ice cream using the vanilla, cookies and cream protein ice cream using the cookies and cream packet, keto coconut protein ice cream using the coconut cream and this banana protein ice cream using the banana fosters packet.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

There are many reasons to love this pineapple protein ice cream recipe, but below are some of my favorites.

  • Low Calorie & High Protein – Made with clean, nourishing ingredients like coconut milk, monk fruit, and protein powder, this treat is a lighter option that supports your nutrition goals without skimping on flavor.
  • Refreshing & Tropical – With its tangy pineapple flavor and creamy texture, this ice cream is like a sunny vacation in a bowl perfect for warm weather or when you need a sweet escape!

Tools to make this easy recipe

This recipe is made using the Ninja Creami ice cream maker. Below are links to where you can purchase them.

  • Ninja Blender – I love my ninja blender. Not only can you use it for the obvious, like smoothies and shakes, but it also works perfectly for making the ice cream base!
  • Ninja Creami ice cream maker – I am in love with this Ninja Creami.
  • Ninja Creami Pints - I opted for these pints because they were about half the price but be weary if you need them quickly; it took about three weeks to get here. They did have some prime options for other pint containers, but I was being thrifty.

How to make Pineapple Protein Ice Cream with your Ninja Creami

Follow this step by step guide for making this recipe.

  1. Mix the base. Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Freeze the mixture. Next, transfer the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint and place the lid on. Transfer the pint to the freezer and freeze for at least 24 hours.
  3. Spin It in the Ninja Creami. After 24 hours, remove the lid and place the pint into the pint holder. Place the lid with the blade on top and lock it into place. Run the Ninja Creami on the lite ice cream function.
  4. Adjust as Needed: After the first spin, the texture will be crumbly. This recipe needs 2 re-spins for the best texture. Repeat this step until the ice cream reaches a perfectly creamy consistency.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Scoop the protein-packed ice cream into a bowl or enjoy it straight from the container. For a little extra flair, you can top it with your preferred toppings.

Optional Mix-ins & Toppings

Add a little more flavor to this recipe by adding any of the following:

  • Pineapple tidbits
  • Whipped coconut cream
Add all ingredients and blend
Freeze for at least 24 hours
Place in the pint holder
Run on the lite ice cream function
Scoop in a bowl and add desired toppings.

Substitutions

Below are some easy swaps for this recipe.

  • No coconut milk? Use oat milk, almond milk, or cashew milk for a different flavor.
  • No vanilla protein powder? You can use an unflavored protein powder or even a coconut protein powder for a more tropical flavor.

How to store

When freezing the ice cream pint, make sure the lid is secured, and it's placed in the freezer on a flat surface.

If you don't eat all of the ice cream in one sitting, make sure to flatten the top of the ice cream, replace the lid, and store it in the freezer. When you're ready to eat it again, you will need to run it on the ice cream or lite ice cream function for two spins.
