Apple fritter rings are a decadent dessert and an easy way to sneak in some fruit into your diet! They remind me of funnel cakes with a twist! Think of it as a sweet apple version of an onion ring!

Apple Fritter Rings

These easy apple ring fritters are a good addition to your recipe card. Take note that you might need an apple corer or small round cookie cutter to make the process easier. You can also try popping these bad boys on an air fryer! The simple batter recipe is detailed below. Total time in cooking is around 20 minutes - perfect for snacking! Love the apple season.

And if you're looking for more fun way apple recipes, I've really been enjoying this apple jam recipe! I love apple pie as well.

Pro Tips - How to do the best techniques in choosing the best apples for these homemade apple fritters?

When choosing apples, look for ones that are free from bruises, blemishes, or soft spots. This could just be an additional cost to you. It's also a good idea to consider personal preferences regarding sweetness and tartness. Experimenting with different apple varieties can lead to discovering your favorite flavor and texture combination for apple fritters.

  • Granny Smith: Known for their tart flavor and firm texture, Granny Smith apples hold up excellently when fried. They provide a nice contrast to the sweet, smooth batter.

So I normally don't work on the weekends, but I took Monday off this week. I was still recovering from being sick and I wanted to get a few things accomplished before vacation next week. So instead of using another vacation day, I opted to work Saturday instead.

Apple Fritter Rings

I actually like to work on the weekends because it is less busy and I'm actually able to get way more work done than if I were to work on a normal week day.

#brunchweek2016-56

As far as vacation goes, it starts on Sunday. Sunday is mother's day, but my mom is having to work so we opted to go out to breakfast on Monday instead since she doesn't have to work until later in the day.

Tuesday morning we'll be heading up to St Augustine, Florida to have breakfast at Maple Street Biscuit Company (if you've never been you have no idea what you are missing!). After that we will be heading to downtown Jacksonville, FL to hit up one of David's favorite places to eat lunch.

Apple Fritter Rings

Believe it or not, we both lived in Jacksonville at the same time, actually about 10 minutes away from each other and never saw each other once! We even went to the same college and both worked at different Publix's up there too!

Apple Fritter Rings

Tuesday afternoon we are meeting up with my Aunt and Uncle to watch some of the TPC practice rounds and then are staying to see the Toby Keith concert at  sunset. I'm so excited!!!

Apple Fritter Rings

Wednesday we will be exploring Jacksonville Beach and meeting up with some of his friends from college and work. We will definitely be indulging on some food and may do a little day drinking. Everything in moderation right?

Apple Fritter Rings

Thursday we'll be back home in New Smyrna and trying to get the house situated and everything packed for the Food Wine Conference in Orlando, FL.

Apple Fritter Rings

We'll be at the conference Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This will be my second year attending the conference! It was so much fun! I learned so much and meet so many amazing people!

Apple Fritter Rings

We will be celebrating my 29th birthday that Saturday at the conference. I cannot believe that I am 29 years old! The time has flown!

Apple Fritter Rings

Seriously every year time keeps on speeding up. I just want it to slowwwww down so I can enjoy everything life has to offer.

Apple Fritter Rings

Yummmm caramel sauce ^^^ The caramel sauce definitely is the icing on the cake with these apple fritter rings!

Tips: Use paper towels to soak up excess oil from the warm apple fritters.

My favorite brunch dish is Fried Potatoes with eggs and crumbled bacon. Every Saturday is a brunch day because I sleep in and make brunch for me and my partner when I get up.
