Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • cup onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon herbes de provence
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil chopped

Instructions

  • Heat a saucepan over medium high heat. Add the avocado oil, and once the oil is hot add the diced onions. Cook until the onions are translucent.
  • Next add the garlic.
  • Once the garlic is fragrant add the crushed tomatoes. Stir.
  • Bring to a boil and then add the dried seasonings. Stir.
  • Reduce the sauce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat. Add in the basil and stir.
