1 tablespoon avocado oil ⅓ cup onion diced 4 cloves garlic minced 28 oz crushed tomatoes 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon herbes de provence ¼ teaspoon oregano ¼ teaspoon black pepper 2 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
Heat a saucepan over medium high heat. Add the avocado oil, and once the oil is hot add the diced onions. Cook until the onions are translucent.
Next add the garlic.
Once the garlic is fragrant add the crushed tomatoes. Stir.
Bring to a boil and then add the dried seasonings. Stir.
Reduce the sauce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Add in the basil and stir.
