Cookies and Cream Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami
Cookies and cream ice cream is one of those nostalgic flavors. I’ve been meaning to make it in my Ninja Creami for forever, but I’ve just been putting it on the back burner.
I had some special help making this recipe! Not only is this a kid-friendly Ninja Creami recipe, but it was entirely made by a kid!
I was just there to hit start and stop on the video and to snap pictures of the final product for this post!
My little man is such a natural. He’s really into photography and videography and when I told him I was going to start making videos for my blog and my healthy Ninja Creami Facebook group, he wanted to do them with me.
Ingredients
- Fairlife milk
- Vanilla extract
- Sweetener (we used granulated monk fruit but you can use your favorite sweetener)
- Oreos
Tools to make this Ninja Creami Recipe
- Ninja Creami ice cream maker – I am in love with this Ninja Creami.
- Ninja Creami Pints – I opted for these pints because they were about half the price, but be weary if you need them quickly; it took about three weeks to get here. They did have some prime options for other pint containers, but I was being thrifty.
How to make Cookies and Cream ice cream
- First, place 4 of the Oreos, the vanilla extract, and the sweetener into the Ninja Creami pint.
- Then, fill with milk to the max fill line.
- Place the lid on securely and then freeze for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, remove the lid and place the pint into the pint holder. Place the lid with the blade on top and lock into place.
- Run the Ninja Creami on the lite ice cream function. You will need to respin twice for the best texture.
- Next, create a hole in the ice cream and places the remaining Oreos in it and then select the “mix-in” function.
- Optional top with additional crushed Oreos. Enjoy!
Substitutions
For this recipe we used 2% Fairlife milk. You can also use whole milk for this recipe. If you use less than 2% milk, you may need to use an emulsifier like collagen or unflavored beef gelatin.
How to store
Store your Ninja Creami cookies and cream ice cream in the freezer with the lid on. Mine never lasts longer than a few days because I eat it all, but it should last 3 to 6 months in the freezer.
Didn’t finish all of your pint in one sitting? No worries. Simply smooth out the ice cream to make it level, place the lid on, and store it in the freezer. When you’re ready to eat your ice cream, you’ll need to select the lite ice cream function again to make it nice and creamy and ready to eat. You may need to re-spin it a few times to get the perfect texture.
