So I may be a little biased, but I think the Food Wine Conference is the only food blogging conference you need to go to. Period. With that being said, what in the world make’s the Food Wine Conference so special? Well I guess you’ll have to keep reading to find out!
Last year, I on a whim went to my first ever food blogger conference (with my friend Erica) which happened to be the Food Wine Conference. There I learned so much and met so many amazing people that I decided to come back for another year. And guess what? You’ll see me there again next year!
From action packed sessions (The Producers Behind the Brand, Business Etiquette & Professional Presence, How to Get the Most Out of Instagram, Working with the Hospitality Industry, Journey from Farm to Table with Cabot Farms, Video Workshop by Beef Checkoff, Master Your Grilling Skills by Certified Angus Beef, The Art of Making a Full-Time Living With Your Digital Brand, Podcasting 101, The Care and Feeding of Your Blog, Beyond the Green Room: Everything You Need to Know for Your Interviews & TV Appearances, #Hashed Competition by Wish Farms, Hot Shots: Food Styling & Photography) with unbelievably smart and friendly speakers (Donatella Arpaia, Isabel Laessig, Harris Rosen, Margaret Coleman, Garret Cox, Josh Elledge, Emily Ellyn, Jimmy Fashner, Krayl Funch, Sue Harrell, Elena Hernandez, Jeff Houck, Tiffany Dale, Lenny Ferreira, Denise Woodward, Todd Jameson, Candace Karu, Beth Kennett, Jeremiah Khokhar, Robin King, Lorraine Ladish, Kat Lewis, Ricky Ly, Julius Mayo, Heather McPherson, Denise Mestanza-Taylor, Madison Miller, Janice Mondavi, Dan Nakamura, Michele Northrup, Don Odiorne, Chef Jorge Oliveia, Michael Ollier, Jacob Pierce, Tony Pullaro, Chef David Ramirez, Amy Richardson, Kita Roberts, Patricia Rossi, Carole Sanek, Shari Daniella Spooner, Denise Vivaldo, Erin Weber, Sarah Williams, Lydia Yon), to the super gracious sponsors (Sunday Supper, Family Foodie, Rosen Shingle Creek, CK Mondavi (my Sponsor!), Florida Dairy Farmers, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Florida Strawberry Growers Association, Certified Idaho Potatoes, Certified Angus Beef, Ocean US, Fields Auto Group, Wish Farms, Stoneridge Orchards, Out of the Weeds, Beef, Cabot, Tapa Toro, Tupperware, Feedblitz, Happylicious by Betsy, Intensity Academy Gourmet Sauces, Workman, Datz, Roux, Itz Media, Rosen College, Go Epicurista, KiMedia Strategies, In Style Imagery) and all of the support staff and everyone who make this conference possible, and especially to Isabel who without her, none of this would be possible, I say thank you.
This conference has truly been life changing. Some people may think I’m crazy when I say that a conference changed my life, but it truly has. I never thought that in a sea of strangers that I would make so many new friends. For me, I’m shy, I keep to my self and I see meeting new people as terrifying.
There’s something about the food blogging community that is so inviting. Everyone is so nice and willing to help each other, something that seems like has been lost on the rest of the population. It may be because we are all students in this ever-changing world that is blogging, but I truly believe it’s because everyone is so open and sincere. We’re all learning from each other and the Food Wine Conference brought the best of the best together to help make it happen.
Since I’m not the best with words (I honestly have no idea why I have a food blog, maybe I will turn this into an online scrapbook someday LOL) I’ll leave the rest of the speaking to the pictures.
