Jump forward a bunch of years, and now I own my own private practice in a small little beach town (New Smyrna Beach, FL) where I specialize in Anti-Inflammatory and Ketogenic diets.
Over the past 6 years as a dietitian I have worked in a wide variety of settings including Cardiovascular ICU, Out Patient Cancer Center, Hemodialysis Clinic and Long Term Care Facilities.
Engaging with patients throughout these settings made me realize I wanted to help people on a deeper level. I started my private practice to give clients the individualized care they need to meet their nutritional goals.
Over the years with the emerging research linking ketogenic diets to health and longevity, I have slowly transitioned my practice to the low carb sphere. As someone who practices a ketogenic diet myself, I can relate and give insight and tips for better success and compliance with ketogenic diets.
As someone with a family history of cancer (both parents), metabolic syndrome, obesity, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, I chose this lifestyle as a preventative measure. What I did not realize was the added benefits I would immediately receive by following this lifestyle (weight loss, improved sleep, increased energy and decreased sugar cravings).
